What is Street Magic?
In other words- Busking with magic. In this, the magician draws an audience from passers by and performs an act for them. In exchange, the magician seeks remuneration or tips at the end of the performance. Street magic most often consists of sleight of hand, card magic, and occasionally mentalism. The ability to draw and hold an audience is viewed as a skill of greater importance than the illusions themselves.
Today, everyday objects can be used to perform street magic, such as soft drinks cans, coins, rubber bands and almost anything available. The motive is to be able to perform as much magic as possible with as little setup as possible, making magic happen anywhere and anytime.
