SSF09 Closing ceremony @ *scape

Electric Youth is the theme for SSF09; it is also the name of the SSF future training hub Electric Youth Company which hopefully will be up according to schedule in 2011. We need everyone’s love and support to help us make it work. SSF has two events this year besides the festival proper from 23 May to 14 June 2009. The SHINE BOTY ASiA at D’ Marquee @ Downtown East is upcoming on 1st & 2nd August. SSF’s Fund Raiser 2009 GETAI SUPERSTAR on 14-17 October 2009 at Drama Centre. We call for all to help us in support to SSF to make this dream possible.

At this year SSF09 opening, we have announced the 3 Advisors namely, SPS Teo Ser Luck; Dy Speaker Indranee Rajah; and Parl. Sec Dr Maliki Osman. SSF is really grateful to the 3 advisors who always have interest of SSF future in sight and being very supportive of SSF and its activities.

I will like to invite SSF members to come and celebrate with us at the closing of SSF09 at SCAPE on 14 June at 7pm. Dy Speaker has very kindly agreed to be Guest of Honour for our SSF09 Closing Ceremony event.

SSF09 Official Launch @ VivoCity

Dear SSF Family,

Thank you so much to one and all for a successful opening yesterday. We really open on high this year with Battle of the Year Competition. Congratulations to Radikal Forze as the Champion and to Floor Tecnique Crew as Runner Up. Not forgetting winners of Best Bgirl and Bboy.

SSF has provided platforms to Singapore youth for the last 7 years. This year on our 8th year, we come forward with new format for the festival spreading to 4 weekends. We want to take this opportunity to thank every member, new and present, young and old, who has in one part or another been a participant in SSF.

SSF is hosting the BOTY Asia in August, an event really not to be missed. As most can see at the break dance competition last night, this electrifying event is really a programme that all should see, we have the top notch coming here to Singapore, all together for the first time to compete for Asia best of which 3 top groups will represent Asia in Germany this October.

SSF is a festival partner in the Singapore Youth Olympic next year. And we are definitely taking opportunity between this year and next looking for talented and skilled youth to be a part of our history making in SYOG.

It is really exciting for SSF also this year to host the Asia Global Bellydance here in Singapore. It will be Belly Galore this year, as from last night bellydancing performance at the launch. This will happen at Plaza Singapura and VivoCity, look out for it!

Now to more days of SSF in Singapore, please do not hesitate to come and join us at the festival ground anytime, its your place, feel at home!
